  • What is CBD?

CBD is an acronym for Cannabidiol. It is a phytocannabinoid and it is 1 of 113 identified cannabinoids in cannabis plants. In 2018, clinical research on cannabidiol included preliminary studies of anxiety, cognition, movement disorders, and pain.

  • What is the difference between Full-Spectrum vs Broad-Spectrum CBD?

Full spectrum CBD is an extract that contains all compounds found naturally occurring in the plant, including terpenes, essential oils, and other cannabinoids. The full spectrum of cannabinoids, terpenes, and essential oils extracted from the plant work together to magnify the therapeutic benefits of each individual cannabinoid. This is commonly referred to as the "entourage effect".

Broad Spectrum provides the user with similar benefits than full-spectrum without the THC. We believe that the best and most potent results come from a product with ALL cannabinoids (inclusive of trace amounts of THC) which is why we use Full-Spectrum products.

  • What is CBD Oil vs Hemp Seed Oil

Simply put, Hemp Seed Oil is made by pressing hemp seeds and extracting the oil. Hemp Seed Oil does not contain the benefits and range of cannabinoids that CBD Oil does. CBD Oil is the oil extracted from the buds of a fully grown hemp plant which reflects all the benefits and the full range of cannabinoids you are looking for. There is a reason Hemp Seed Oil is much cheaper than CBD Oil.
  • How is Shaanti CBD oil manufactured?

We currently utilize short path fractional distillation for our secondary refinement of our CBD oil. This process involves heating up our crude CBD oil to the various boiling points of the different plant constituents that are present so that we can separate them through distillation. This creates a full spectrum CBD distillate which is a beautiful golden oil similar in appearance and viscosity to your favorite honey. All of our full spectrum products are created with this A-grade oil as the base ingredient.

  • What is difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

Hemp and Marijuana plants are essentially cousins.

Marijuana plants  are defined as any Cannabis sativa plant that has greater than 0.3 percent THC. THC, short for tetrahydrocannabinol, is the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis. The more THC you consume, the more changes you will notice in your cognition and how you feel. In essence, THC gets you “high.”

Hemp plants are defined as any cannabis plant that has 0.3 percent or less THC. Even a plant with 0.4 percent THC would be classified as a marijuana plant, in spite of the fact that 0.4 percent isn’t going to have a noticeable psychoactive effect.

  • Is your CBD oil legal?

YES!  All of our products are federally compliant with the 2018 Farm Bill. Read the below  excerpt from the FDA's website.

"At the federal level, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, Pub. L. 115-334, (the 2018 Farm Bill) was signed into law on Dec. 20, 2018. Among other things, this new law changes certain federal authorities relating to the production and marketing of hemp, defined as "the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.

Simply put, any CBD oil that contains less than .3% THC is legal. This does not mean all companies out there create safe, quality product so always keep an eye out for how companies extract their product and what additives are used!

  • How should I store my CBD?

Full Spectrum CBD Oil should always be stored in dark and cool spaces. Direct UV light can alter the product. This is the reason our products are in amber color bottles so that your product is somewhat protected.

  • What is CBD Bio-Availabity and why is it important?

Bio-Availability is the proportion of the substance which enters the circulation when introduced into the body and so is able to have an active effect. There are different ways to ingest CBD and each way has a different bio-availability.

  • What is the best method to use?

CBD has a few ways it can enter your bloodstream. Sub-lingual, topical, oral, and inhalation. We believe the most efficient form of bio-availability comes from sub-lingual because we use USDA Organic MCT Oil which helps travel in full form to your bloodstream. By keeping the oil under your tongue for 2-3 minutes you are allowing the oil to get absorbed through the capillary-rich areas under your tongue which avoids first-pass metabolism.

Oral consumption  on the other hand must pass through the gut and a lot of the CBD can get stripped in digestion before it really gets to your bloodstream. Inhalation is the fastest form of experiencing effects however it is the shortest acting. Topical administration provides very little to the bloodstream but does reach local targets like muscles, inflammatory cells, and pain-perceiving nerves.

  • How do I know what dosage to take?

We highly recommend starting with 1 full dropper of your tincture and working your way up daily until you feel the desired effects. Our 1000mg product has 33mg of CBD per 1mL dropper, 1500mg product has 50mg of CBD per 1mL dropper, and our 2000mg product has 67mg of CBD per 1mL dropper.

Effects may vary depending on your current health, diet, and overall wellness. We suggest trying different dosages to help with different issues.

  • Is there THC in this product?

Although this product is primarily CBD, there is a trace amount of THC in this product equaling < .3%. This trace amount is the legally allowed amount by the FDA so no need to worry!
